The Oakland Museum’s Chief Curator, Philip Linhares, mounted a show entitled Hot Rods & Customs: the Men and Machines of California’s Car Culture. It featured this diorama created by Los Angeles artist Michael McMillen using very rare vintage speed equipment and N.O.S. Ford parts from Ed Hegarty’s copious collection. The original American Graffiti coupe, un-restored since its movie days, is now owned by Rick Figari of San Francisco, who keeps it in good running condition and drives it frequently. This Steve Coonan photo was a featured spread in The Rodder’s Journal 7. (actual text on bottom of poster) THX MILNER'S COUPE From the Movie American Graffiti. Measures 15-1/2 x 19.
